Keeping Adventurous Little Ones Busy

If you have a toddler or a child under the age of six, chances are you tend to have trouble keeping them still. It’s a fact that kids these days have shorter attention spans, and without an activity to channel their energy, keeping them under control can prove difficult. Here are a few tips for keeping your child busy while you need to focus on other activities, or when you just need a break!

~Exercise in the Morning~ research has been shown that kids who receive a lot of exercise in the morning are more content throughout the day. If you take your child to the park to play sports or play on the toys in the morning, they’ll be more content throughout the day and even fall asleep faster at night. To make things easier, you may even consider purchasing a residential playscape.

~Channel their Energy~ if you need your child to sit still for a certain amount of time, try having them sit in a kids rocking chair. The rocking motion will keep them busy without providing too much of a distraction.

~Give them a Responsibility~ kids love to feel like grown-ups, and giving a child a couple minimal responsibilities can give them a sense of purpose and allow you a break to focus for a few minutes. You might have them water house plants, feed a pet, or clean up their toys.
