Swinging through the Years

There’s just something imminently reassuring about a swing. Swings rule the elementary school playground, facing only half-hearted competition from the slide. Granted, at some point kids outgrow the swing, but often come back later in life. Their obsession with “going over the bar” subsides, but the addiction to swings proves hard to break.
For the older, more sensible generation, a wooden swing set is a viable addition to the backyard or porch. Swings make for a great place to look back on the day and unwind. Grandparents could even consider installing a swing set for their grandchildren, allowing for a multigenerational swing in the summer sun.
